Cancer Symptoms:
I had a sharp pain in my back for over a year, which would go away if I took anti-inflammatory medication. In February this year, I had shortness of breath and my GP sent me for a chest xray…..where a large tumour was discovered in my chest.

Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects:
A few days after xray, I was admitted for a biopsy of the mediastinal tumour in my chest and a bonemarrow biopsy. 2 days later we met with my haematologist, Dr Du Toit, at Constantiberg Medi Clinic.

Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects:
Methotrexate, Doxyrubicin, Vincristine, Vinblastine, Cytarabine, Etopomide

Bone Marrow Transplant Description, Dates & Side Effects:

Waiting to find out if my brother is a match, if not, we will begin the world wide search.
